Andrew hails from central western New South Wales. Born in Oberon, and raised on a sheep and cattle farm, Andrew paid his way through University working two jobs, and studying Commerce (Accounting) full time at Charles Sturt University, Bathurst.
Completing his traineeship with a small Accounting firm in Bathurst from 1995 to 1999, Andrew worked predominantly with rural, and small business clients.
Moving to Sydney in 1999, Andrew joined one of the global ‘Big 4’ firms, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, working with business clients including Australian branches of global companies, and high net worth clientele.
In 2004, Andrew sought to expand upon his experience and accepted a position with Australand Property Group, within their Tax Division. Andrew’s interest and focus at this point was GST (introduced in 2000), and Andrew was responsible for the GST reporting for a group of 400 companies and $2 billion in annual revenue.
Headhunted back to Deloitte in 2006, Andrew joined their Indirect Tax Group, focussing predominantly on the GST. His client base included large Australian listed companies, Australian branches of large multinational companies and Government departments.
In 2009, after moving to Wollongong, Andrew joined a local firm. Since then he has worked closely with hundreds of personal and business clients from across our region.
2013 brought with it the incredible opportunity to set up and run his own business.
Today Andrew is proud to introduce Andrew Webb Family & Business Accounting. A fresh take on accounting, from a man who is personable, interested in peoples’ stories, and looking forward to meeting you, not just your business.
Marketing and Communications
Although born in Wagga Wagga, Jade was raised in Wollongong, and comes from a family with an extensive history in Wollongong dating back to the earliest settlers of Mt Kembla. Jade is passionate about her home town, its people and their combined prosperity.
Joining the Financial Services Industry in 1996, Jade endured the daily commute to Sydney. Taking hold of the multiple opportunities on offer to advance her education in Superannuation Administration, she found herself moving into senior positions in Personal and Corporate Superannuation and Investment Administration over the following years.
In early 2000, she was offered the opportunity to move into a Business Development Team for a subsidiary of St George Bank, SEALCORP (now known as Asgard, and owned by Westpac).
Progressing her career from a support role in Business Development, Jade moved into a position which saw her training Financial Planners on product, and implementing efficient systems and procedures into the businesses of a network of Financial Planners, and their staff across NSW.
In 2004, Jade moved from the NSW Team at Asgard, to the Institutional Business Services Team, continuing in the position of Practice Implementation Manager for some of Asgard’s largest Institutional clients across Australia.
In 2006, Jade joined Genesys Wealth Advisers (Head Office), taking on a phone based training and support role for the Genesys Member Firms across Australia…which meant no more planes!
In August 2013, Jade returned to (paid) work for the first time since welcoming her first child in 2008. She is thrilled to be able to introduce a new business to Wollongong, which she and Andrew will grow, in time employing our own local talent, giving them the skills and confidence to progress their careers, and to give back to Wollongong.
